"Janine" is a song written by David Bowie in 1969 for the album Space Oddity. Bowie recorded a demo version of the song together with John Hutchinson in February 1969.
The song was also featured in the 1998 film Whatever.
There is a version from the 1968 recordings entitled "The Beckenham Oddity" [1] (unreleased) that includes the lyrics and melody for the chorus of "Hey Jude" by The Beatles. Bowie replaces the phrase "Hey Jude" with "Janine" for the outro of the song.
